Established over four decades ago, The National Registration Center for Study Abroad Center located in Santa Ana, Costa Rica has been committed to developing language programs on English and Spanish unlike any other. From the beginning, its has kept its instruction practical, ensured that instructors are educated, native speakers, and maintained the small size of groups for a more efficient language acquisition.

The local director and primary program administrator are U.S. nationals, and have extensive backgrounds in the instruction of Spanish to non-speakers. Both individuals have lived in Costa Rica for over 15 years, and have significant experience in operating a successful language school.

Highlights

1. Santa Ana is located on a hilltop about ten miles west of San Jose, a perfect location for those who are looking for a more rural setting.

2. The school houses a dining hall, a lounge, twenty classrooms (sixteen indoors and four outdoors), two lodges, a fifty-foot long swimming pool, a volleyball court, a basketball court, a tennis backboard, ping-pong tables, a bathhouse (solar heated showers), two meeting rooms (T.V. and VCR), and lots of hammocks.

3. There is commitment to quality language training that is shared by a staff of experienced Costa Rican instructors.

4. Instructors are well acquainted with the language learning habits of foreigners.

5. The school has a lovely six-acre campus on a hillside near Santa Ana and is just ten miles west of San Jose. Additionally, Internet Cafes are located nearby, and can be used for a reasonable fee.
