Nel Blu offers two different types of group courses with lessons from Monday to Friday: the standard course with 15 lessons per week and the intensive course with 20 lessons per week. All courses start on Monday with a written and oral placement test in order to assess the student's current level of Italian.

The courses begin every two weeks on a Monday, throughout the whole year. Lessons are held from Monday to Friday, from 9.30 to 12.30 in the morning and from 13.30 in the afternoon (for the intensive courses). The irst lesson is based on grammar, the second lesson is based on conversation and is followed by a coffee-break. The third lesson of the standard and intensive courses will include games, role-plays, simulated situations (restaurant, bar etc.), didactic tours of the city or cooking and typical recipes.

Working in small groups (with a maximum of 8 students) of mixed nationalities, students experience a variety of teaching methods in which cognitive, communicative, spontaneous and creative elements are combined. Lessons are based on grammar input sessions, conversation and other activities such as games, role-plays and simulated situations (for example ordering in a restaurant or going to a bar).

All teachers are native Italian speakers, highly qualified and use modern teaching methods. A textbook is given to every student after the placement test, which they can keep.

Nel Blu can offer individual courses to suit any student's requirements, on a one-to-one basis. These types of courses are best suited to people who need or just wish to be able to express themselves fluently in Italian, in the shortest possible time. The timetable must be arranged with the school according to the student's needs and staff availability.
