Description

Enjoy your summer Chinese language vacation in the largest city in China at the mouth of the Yangtze River.

The city is a tourist destination renowned for its historical landmarks such as the Bund and City God Temple, its modern and ever-expanding Pudong skyline including the Oriental Pearl Tower, and its new reputation as a cosmopolitan center of culture and design.

Today, Shanghai is the largest center of commerce and finance in mainland China, and has been described as the "showpiece" of the world's fastest-growing major economy.

Located in the heart of the city off Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street, Shanghai's premier shopping street (over 3 miles long) this area attracts thousands of fashion-seeking shoppers from all over the world.

Highlights

- Course runs Monday through Friday starting at 9am

Supervision, curfews and student info:
- This immersion offers very little supervision outside of class.
- Teens will expected to travel independently to/from the school each day.
- Recommended for the more independent and mature teenager.
- Open to students from the ages of 16 - 18
- Estimated students on the immersion: 25 - 40 students
- Staff ratio 1 counselor for every 12 students

After class activities:
- Enjoy a schedule of social and cultural activities during the week with other students and weekend excursions.
- One day excursion, two cultural activities and one field trip weekly.
