Since the establishing of Mandarin House, we only focus on teaching Chinese as a foreign language in China - you learning Chinese and getting to know Chinese culture at the same time in everyday and business life. Our greatest strength is focusing on the basics - teaching the Chinese language! Structure and Requirements of Conversational Course:
Mandarin House "Star" Chinese Course will lead you to achieve rapid progress in your Chinese by focusing on practical language skills of speaking, listening and reading phonetics with special emphasis on conversation. Classes meet for four group lessons a day, which gives you spare time for self-study.

• The minimum age is 16 years old
• Starting dates: non-beginners can join on any Monday
• From Monday to Friday
• 20 lessons per week
• 4 group lessons a day
• 50 minutes per lesson
• Maximum 10 students in a group class
• Learn conversational skills

• Duration: From 2 weeks to as many weeks as you would like

Study Abroad - Earn U.S. College Credits!
Students studying with Mandarin House can receive transferable credit from Brookhaven College, a fully accredited, comprehensive American community college accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Brookhaven College offers MAP (Multinational Academic Program) participants one of several flat fees, determined by residency and number of courses (not credit hours) The current fees are $250-$600 for 1-2 courses (up to 8 semester hours of credit) and $450-$800 for 3-5 courses (up to 17 semester hours of credit) Please note that this is optional. Only students who want an academic transcript from Brookhaven College pay these additional fees directly to Brookhaven College.

• CHIN 1312 Beginning Chinese II (Requires 64 contact hours*) 3 semester hours of credit
• CHIN 1411 Beginning Chinese I (Requires 80 contact hours*) 4 semester hours of credit
• CHIN 1412 Beginning Chinese II (Requires 80 contact hours*) 4 semester hours of credit

Second Year Courses:
• CHIN 2311 Intermediate Chinese I (Requires 48 contact hours*) 3 semester hours of credit
• CHIN 2312 Intermediate Chinese II (Requires 48 contact hours*) 3 semester hours of credit
