Description

Come learn Spanish quickly while seeing the amazing sights of Costa Rica! Our school is located in downtown Liberia, a safe, mid-sized city in Guanacaste, the cultural and nature-rich center of Costa Rica. The international airport is just 10 minutes away, and everything in town - supermarkets, gyms, restaurants, homestay families - is within walking distance.

Why choose Instituto Estelar Bilingüe for your immersion experience?

1. Location - Liberia is a short distance from world-class beaches, national parks to hike and see wildlife, natural hot springs from volcanic activity, and adventure parks. Liberia is authentic Costa Rica: its friendly people are happy to practice Spanish with you.

2. Academic Program - Our program always gets outstanding reviews because of its clearly structured courses, heavy focus on conversation, and experienced teachers. Students complete a level each week, progressing quickly...and having fun!

3. Homestay Program - our families are carefully selected and frequently reviewed to ensure the best experience for you. Eat delicious local food, feel welcomed into the family, and be immersed in Spanish each day.

4. Spanish in a variety of contexts - speak Spanish in natural settings in cooking class, dancing class, artesan class, a visit to the farmer's market, our Spanglish event at a local restaurant, and more.

5. Volunteer - our vision is for Estelar Family to give one hour a week in service to the community.

Challenge your borders with us!

Highlights

1. Our methodology is communicative and includes storytelling and survival Spanish lessons in the beginner and intermediate levels in order to expand vocabulary and provide conversation practice. The advanced levels challenge learners to learn the nuances of Spanish.

2. The academic quality is superb! Our program has 15 levels from beginner to advanced, and our course books were designed by experts.

3. Volunteering with Club A, a non-profit organization that works with at-risk, underprivileged kids on the outskirts of Liberia, is a huge highlight for our students. Volunteers gain a new life perspective and love the experience.

4. We love showing off our region to visitors and are happy to arrange economical tours and volunteer experiences. In fact, we have trips every month that are for anyone in the community, so you can meet the locals and see some amazing places. (Check out our Facebook page, Estelar Viajes!)

5. Find out why the locals love living in Liberia by completing our Liberia Challenges and using our student discount card in businesses around the city. People are really happy here, and it shows in their smiles and polite way with everyone.

6. Last, but certainly not least, is our homestay program. Students rave about how much they love their Tico families! It adds so much to the experience, and we work hard to place students according to their specific needs and wishes.

7. Wait, one more thing! Studying with us means that you become part of our Estelar Family. We enjoy getting to know you, helping you feel comfortable in our school and city, and staying in touch with you. We frequently receive visits from former students who want to volunteer with Club A again, take a Spanish course, stay with their family again, or just say hi. We love that!!
