El Nomad Study Abroad Programs academic year offerings introduce students to a new culture and way of life. These programs help solidify participants' Spanish language skills in real-life situations and allow them to immerse in the culture of Ecuador.

The eight-week quarter Language and Culture program is suited to students of all Spanish language abilities. Courses include Spanish grammar, composition, and conversation.

The program is available in the spring and fall as a 15-week course that includes Latin American Culture studies.


1. Study Spanish language and culture at the Universidad de Cuenca in Ecuador.

2. Go on a tour of the city of Cuenca.

3. Join excursions to the Cajas National Park and the Ingapirca Ruins.

4. Participate in free or low-cost cultural activities.
