Boston University and the Center for Cross Cultural Learning offers a summer language study and volunteer program in Rabat, Morocco. Volunteering placements are available in the fields of Education, Healthcare, Children's Welfare, and Women's Rights. The program will give students a unique immersion in the life and society of this fascinating city, country, and region. Students enroll in either two Arabic language courses or one Arabic language course and the service learning placement. Students must enroll for a total of eight credits.

The Center for Cross Cultural Learning is a private cultural institution founded and directed by Moroccan academics with more than 20 years experience in cross-cultural education. Courses in Fus'ha (modern Arabic) are taught by experienced instructors trained specifically to teach Arabic as a second language.


1. Learn Arabic in the cosmopolitan capital of Morocco, Rabat.

2. Volunteer in a variety of fields, including Healthcare, Education, and Children's Welfare.

3. Gain a deeper appreciation of life and society of Rabat, Morocco, and North Africa.

4. Spend the summer living and studying in Morocco.
