Description

Students in Boston University Grenoble French Studies Program enroll in one of three tracks based on their level of language proficiency or their specific academic interest. Track 1: Intermediate Language and Civilization and Track 2: Advanced Language and Culture require students to enroll in one course on French civilization and culture and one French language course. The courses are not taught simultaneously. The culture and civilization course is taught in the first half of the program. Students then move on to their language course in the latter half. All courses are conducted in French.

Track 3: Statistics and French Language students will begin with an intensive two weeks devoted to the course in statistics followed by enrollment in a French language course. The statistics course will continue to meet periodically, concurrent with the French language course. Students with no background in French will also be provided with basic survival French instruction during the initial two weeks of the program.
