Description

Founded in 1992, the Babilonia Italian Language School is wholly committed to promoting the culture and heritage of Italy, while studying the country's famous language. Whether the participant is a local or international student, Babilonia is open to all those who wish to fully immerse in the culture and gain a broader perspective of the Italian way of life. The school is located in a historic and culturally active town sitting atop a mountain overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, Taormina in Sicily, which is world-renowned for its undeniable beauty, amazing heritage, incredible architecture and archaeology.

Babilonia offers participants and students a wide array of courses in Language and Culture to an international student population. Intensive language courses are open in group sessions or one-on-one lessons. The unique "Italian language plus fun" program is geared towards giving students the opportunity to learn the Italian language while enjoying the vibrant life and culture of Sicily. In this program, not only do participants study the language, they also acquire experience in local acts such as cooking, pottery, and ceramic decoration. Other courses include Art, History, and Italian Literature. Courses can take from one week to one year.
