Description

Andeo International Homestays offers a range of gap programs in the Fukuoka Prefecture in Kyushu, Japan. Fukuoka City is known for its moderate climate, excellent cuisine, and friendly locals. Students will be given a city tour to give them an idea about the best places to visit, restaurants serving the most delicious dishes, and cheap shops that all locals go to. Gap programs include intensive Japanese courses, a seminar exploring Japan's ancient traditions and practices, language study through movies, television shows, contemporary music, and the latest manga, and a volunteering project through the World Wide Workers on Organic Farms.

The language school is centrally located in Tenjin, the heart of Fukuoka City, close to the central train, subway, and bus stations. Participants will find helpful staff, comfortable classrooms, professional teachers, a communal lounge for socializing and studying, an endless supply of coffee and tea, free internet, and an extensive collection of manga, Japanese DVDs, Wii games, and more. Participants can also take advantage of frequent free and low-cost organized activities, such as kanji lettering, origami, and conversation partners, as well as weekend outings to hot springs, local festivals, shows, and other places of interest, like a hands-on pottery studio or a soba noodle workshop.
