Description

Explore Barcelona's unique blend of medieval history and modern architecture while soaking up the lively atmosphere of this international city in gap year programs from Andeo International Homestays. Programs include Spanish language courses, art classes, and a combination of both. The language school is less than five minutes walk from the Plaza Catalunya, which is the very center of Barcelona. The building dates from the beginning of the last century and is recognizable by its unique, decorative street entrance, lots of natural light, high ceilings, and a marble staircase. The standard intensive course includes 20 sessions per week, in groups of up to 12 students.

The school organizes many cultural activities to places of interest in and around Barcelona, as well as films in Spanish, and a language exchange. Most activities are included in the programs. Excursions may include guided tours of the Gothic Quarter or the river district, an afternoon at the Picasso Museum or a Gaudi building, or a day trip to Costa Brava, Figueres, and the Dali Museum. Participants will live with a local family during their program.
